Keynote Speakers
----------------
Dr. Rakesh Agrawal:
Rakesh Agrawal is a widely acknowledged leader in the field of
data mining. His seminal work in association rule mining led wide
adoption of data mining technology in the industry, as well as
significant activity in the research community - both academic and
industrial. He has led the Quest project at IBM's Almaden research
center since its inception, which in addition to producing steady
flow of significant research results, has also been an excellent
training ground for young data mining researchers. Prior to joining
IBM, Dr. Agrawal worked at AT&T Bell Labs. He received his Ph.D. in
Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Prof. Andreas Buja:
Andreas Buja is a professor of Statistics in the Wharton School
of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. He is well known for
his pioneering work on the use of visualization to enhance the
understanding of data analysis results. Professor Buja has held
positions at AT&T Labs, University of Washington, and Salomon
Brothers, and a number of visiting positions. A Fellow of the
American Statistical Association, Prof. Buja received his Ph.D. in
Mathematics/Statistics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
(ETH),
Zurich, Switzerland.
