As the sequel to IWCTS2004, IWCTS2005 provides an international workshop for technical discussions among researchers, developers and users of cyberspace systems from academia, business and industry. This workshop focuses on researches in cyberspace technologies, governance, and their advanced applications. Over the past decade, we have seen rapid evolutions in information technology and its applications, especially in social aspects. The global transition of society demands new prospective technologies, and these technologies introduce new frameworks of the society as cyberspace applications. They include e-commerce, e-government, e-learning and e-community, and require new types of knowledge modeling and implementations. Such cyberspace specific knowledge provides capabilities to manage and compute various types of media resources. For construction of the cyberspace knowledge, further progress of cyberspace infrastructures, which includes the mobile, wearable and secure network technologies, are seriously required. This workshop offers the opportunity for in-depth explorations of selected topics and for the presentations of the most recent researches and development findings. Technical papers on the cyberspace infrastructure, the cyberspace knowledge and the cyberspace applications are called for oral presentations at IWCTS2005. Papers reporting new developments in computing for society, community and governance, including but not limited to those listed below, are invited. - Cyberspace Infrastructure and Governance -- Ubiquitous Computing and Governance -- Network Societies and Communities -- Internet Governance - Cyberspace Knowledge and Databases -- Knowledge Modeling and Design for Cyberspace -- Multimedia, Spatial and Temporal Databases -- Knowledge Design for Geographical Information Systems - Cyberspace Applications -- Cyberspace Learning -- Cyberspace Decision Making -- New Interdisciplinary Applications for the Internet <Important Dates> Paper Submission: Oct 7, 2004 Notification: Oct 20, 2004 Final Manuscript: Nov 1, 2004 Workshop Date: A half day during Jan 31- Feb 4, 2005.
