= Aims and Scope =

The Web are ever-increasing in size and involving a quite broad range
of technologies such as databases, XML and digital contents, data and
Web mining, Web services, semantic Web and ontology, information
retrieval, and others. XWICT 2006 will be held in conjunction with
WAIM 2006 conference and invites original research contribution on
XML, Web, and Internet contents technologies. XWICT 2006 aims at
bringing together researchers in different fields related to XML and
Web who have a common interest in interdisciplinary research. The
workshop provides a forum where researchers and practitioners can
share and exchange their knowledge and experience.

Due to the recent good news of an agreement with IEEE on publishing of
proceedings, we would like to extend the submission deadline to May
1st.

= Topics of Interest =

The XWICT 2006 topics include but are certainly not limited to the
following areas:

* Web information systems
* Web search and information retrieval on Web
* Web mining
* Web services and Web applications
* Semantic Web and Web ontology
* Data integration on Web
* Web privacy and security

We strongly encourage submission of papers bridging the research in
different fields and promoting mutual exchange and understanding of
cross-field research results.

Press. The formal proceedings will be published by the IEEE Computer
Society's Conference Publishing Services (CPS) after the workshop. All
