日本データベース学会の皆様、 大阪大学の原です。 アジア発の世界的なデータベース会議DASFAAの論文募集を送付いた します。 2008年は3月19日〜22日の日程で、インドのニューデリーで開催さ れます。 アブスト登録締切:8月27日 論文投稿締切: 9月 3日 となっております。 日本のデータベースコミュニティのビジビリティを高めるためにも、 是非とも多くの皆様のご投稿を宜しくお願いいたします。 原 隆浩 _____________________________________________________________________ Call for Papers and Proposals The 13th International Conference on Database Systems for Advanced Applications (DASFAA 2008) 19 - 22 March 2008, India International Centre, New Delhi, India http://www.cse.iitb.ac.in/~dasfaa08 DASFAA is an annual international database conference, located in the Asia-Pacific region, which showcases state-of-the-art R & D activities in database systems and their applications. It provides a forum for technical presentations and discussions among database researchers, developers and users from academia, business and industry. The DASFAA-2008 conference, 13th in the series, will be hosted in New Delhi, India, during March 2008. Delhi, the national capital of India, was settled as far back as 1000 BC, and has been the political centre of India for most of the last millenium. It hosts several monuments of great historical and cultural value, including the Red Fort and the Qutub Minar. Delhi is also located close to Agra, the site of the Taj Mahal, a wonder of the world. AREAS OF INTEREST Original papers on both database theory and practice are solicited. Areas of interests include, but are not limited to: * Query Languages and Query Optimization * Multi-databases and Federated Databases * Security and Integrity Maintenance * Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery * Statistical and Scientific Databases * Parallel and Distributed Databases * Data Warehouses * Information Retrieval and Database Systems * Metadata and Workflow Management * E-commerce Data Processing * Multimedia Databases* Internet and WWW Data Management * Digital Libraries * Mobile Databases * User Interfaces * Temporal and Spatial Databases * Active Databases * Data Streams * P2P and Grid-Based Data Management * Sensor Data Management * XML Databases and Semantic XML * New Applications SUBMISSIONS Research & Industrial Papers: Authors should submit papers reporting original works that are currently not under review or published elsewhere. The paper should be submitted at the conference web-site in PDF format, with maximum length fifteen pages, following Springer-Verlag's LNCS manuscript submission guidelines, available at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. Proposals for Tutorial/Panel/Demo/Workshop: Proposals should be in PDF and include a one-page description of the technical content, and additional pages with the names, affiliations, and biographical sketches of the presenters/organizers. Submissions should be sent directly by e-mail to the respective chairs. Proceedings: The conference proceedings is planned to be published as part of Springer Verlag's Lecture Notes in Computer Science series (pending approval).
