Special Issue on
Advanced Intelligent Multimedia Applications
for Next Generation Environments
====================================================================
 

Next Generation environments (NG) have recently raised relevant interests in both the academic and industrial research communities as one of the most promising application fields for intelligent computing services. In fact, the NG application domain poses unique challenges such as various services to enable working from home, remote education, remote diagnosis, virtual shopping, network gaming, and portal & high quality VOD with no limitations on space and time, and so on. Specially, Advanced Intelligent Multimedia Applications for NG have been coming as a new paradigm.
This special issue aims to address the Advanced Intelligent Multimedia Applications (AIMA) for NG. It will accept both original research papers and review articles that enhance the state-of-the-art in smart spaces and their services including topics like smart homes and offices, intelligent system architecture, human communication interaction, advanced smart services, context-awareness, data-mining,  security issues, emerging standards and technologies and novel applications that are associated with AIMA for NG utilization. The papers will be peer reviewed and will be selected on the basis of their quality and relevance to the theme of this special issue.

 Data-mining for AIMA in NG
 Human communication interaction for AIMA in NG 
 Intelligent context-awareness for AIMA in NG
 Security issues for AIMA in NG
 Emerging standards and technologies for AIMA in NG
 Industry and business models for AIMA in NG

Concerning the preparation of the manuscript, please refer to the "Instructions for Authors" page at the journal website, http://www.springerlink.com/link.asp?id=100320. Further, the manuscript must be submitted in the form of PDF file to the following addresses: parkjonghyuk1 [at] hotmail.com and yu [at] ccm.media.kyoto-u.ac.jp. The submission must include the title, abstract of your paper, and the corresponding author's name and affiliation. Further, for CSA-08 extended papers, the CSA-08 Paper ID Number of the accepted paper must be provided.
