PAPER SUBMISSION
----------------
APWeb 2010 invites papers describing original contributions in all fields of Web technologies, database systems, information management and software engineering. All submissions should be in English. 
Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the conference to present the work.

PUBLICATION
-----------
The proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press. All submissions must be prepared in the IEEE camera-ready format as PDF files and may not exceed 7 pages. 
The authors of selected APWeb 2010 papers will be invited to submit the extended versions for publication in World Wide Web Journal (www.springerlink.com/content/101757/).

AWARDS
------
The following awards will be presented at the conference: Best Paper and Best Student Paper. 
For a paper to qualify for the Best Student Paper award, a student must be the lead author.

APWeb is a leading international conference on research, development and applications of Web technologies, database systems, information management and software engineering, with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region. APWeb 2010, the 12th in the series, will be held from 6-8 April 2010 in Busan, Korea. 
We invite proposals for APWeb 2010 workshops. Workshops will be held at the same location as the main conference. 

Proposals should include the following information: 
* workshop title, brief description about the workshop, including a list of topics 
* brief explanation on why the proposed workshop is of interest to the APweb 2010 attendees 
* name and contact information of the organizer(s) 
* names of a list of intended PC members for the workshop 
* important dates    
* brief introduction of the organizers, explaining their qualifications 

All papers accepted by APWeb 2010 workshops will be published in a workshop proceeding. APWeb 2010 will provide administrative support including room booking, registration, and publication. The workshop organizer(s) will be responsible for advertising the workshop, reviewing and selecting the papers. Proposals should be sent as e-mail attachments to both of the workshops chairs by September 25, 2009. Enquiries can also be sent to the workshops chairs.

TUTORIALS
----------
We solicit proposals for tutorials for presentation at the APWeb 2010 conference. The topic of the proposals is not limited, but recommended, to the areas of call for APWeb 2010 research paper. Proposals are recommended to provide a meaningful summary of open issues in the topic.
Proposals must be no more than three pages, using an 11 pt or larger font for the body of the text of the proposal, and must include details to provide the scope of tutorial and its depth. The length of the tutorial is limited to 1.5 hrs. Proposals should also include contact information (at least, name, email, affiliation, and telephone number) and a brief (no more than 5 sentences) bio of the presenters. Tutorial proposals must clearly identify the intended audience and (if any) its assumed background.
Please submit proposals by E-mail to Bin Cui (bin.cui [at] pku.edu.cn) and Sang-Won Lee (wonlee [at] ece.skku.ac.kr) by 11:30pm PDT on November 12, 2009. The acceptance notification will be sent by Nov 26, 2009.
Tutorial presentations will be published and made available to APWeb participants.
