---------------------------------------------------------------

In recent few years, various types of sensor networks have been
deployed at many places and information generated by sensors has
increased rapidly. Thus, we are in a time which we could call the
"information-explosion era." In the information-explosion era,
establishing new techniques for both data processing and communication
in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a crucial and challenging issue.

This workshop (SeNTIE 2010) aims to provide a platform for discussing
open issues, current challenges and solutions, as well as directions
for future research on data processing and communication techniques of
WSNs in the information-explosion era. The workshop intends to bring
together researches and practitioners in a broad range of topics
related to WSNs in both theoretical and practical experience aspects.

---------------------------------------------------------------

TOPICS:
- Data processing in WSNs
- Data aggregation in WSNs
- Query processing and routing in WSNs
- Applications of data intensive sensor networks
- Routing protocol in WSNs
- Efficient deployment of large-scale WSNs
- Managing intensive data streams over sensor networks
- Handling inaccuracy, unreliability and data loss
- Energy and time efficient data delivery
- Mobile sensor networks
- Cross layer approach in WSNs
- Application-driven sensor data interrogation
- Semantic descriptions of sensors and sensor data
- Sharing, annotation, and (distributed) management of sensor data
- Data mining and warehousing in WSNs

---------------------------------------------------------------

IMPORTANT DATES:
- Paper submission: February 23 (Tue), 2010
- Notification of acceptance: March 10(Wed), 2010
- Camera-ready due: March 17(Wed), 2010

---------------------------------------------------------------

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Submitted papers must be original and not submitted for publication
elsewhere. Authors are invited to submit their papers via the
SeNTIE2010 web site
 http://www-nishio.ist.osaka-u.ac.jp/conf/sentie/2010/
by Feb. 23, 2010. An electronic, PDF based submission of papers is
mandatory.
The paper length should not exceed 6 pages in the camera-ready IEEE
style. Proceedings will be printed in hardcopy with IEEE Press and
will be included in IEEE Explore.
