ACM SIGIRは情報検索分野における国際会議の最高峰で、2017年に40周年を迎えます。 この記念すべきSIGIR 2017は、2017年8月7-11日に新宿の京王プラザホテルで開催されます。日本で開催される初めてのSIGIRです。

キーノートは、Okapi BM25で名高いStephen Robertson教授とYahoo Vice President of ResearchのYoelle Maarek博士です。 78フルペーパー(採択率22%)、121ショートペーパー(30%)、17 デモ(47%)、9博士コンソーシアム(64%)の発表と、チュートリアルと企業トラックがあります。
ワークショップはまだ論文受付中です。
参加登録を開始しました。早期登録は5月末まで。特に学生のパスポートが非常にお得です。併設のサマースクールASSIA2017@京都も参加受付中です。
東京観光、着付け、茶の湯など、同伴者用プログラムも充実しています(海外からの参加者向け)。会場には託児サービスもあります。バンケットはホテル椿山荘東京です。

Call For Participation: 40th International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval (7--11 August 2017)

SIGIR is the premier international forum for the presentation of new research results and for the demonstration of new systems and techniques in information retrieval.

Please join us to celebrate the 40th anniversary of SIGIR in Tokyo, a city of hospitality, rich culture, exquisite cuisine, brilliant nature and neon lights, electronics, Japanimation and otaku! The conference venue, Keio Plaza Hotel, is close to JR Shinjuku Station, which is easily accessible from both Haneda and Narita Airports. The conference will run from 7th to 11th August 2017.
