11/17（月）に，京都リサーチパークにて日本初のユビキタスコンピューティングの
シンポジウムであるUCS2003が開催されます．18日と19日には関連ワークショップや
当研究会も開催されます．

ご講演いただくのは，UBICOMP 2003 の主力メンバーでもあり，精鋭の研究者ばかり
です．

      We invite researchers, practitioners, educators and students, and others
      interested in ubiquitous computing to participate in International
Symposium
      on Ubiquitous Computing Systems (UCS 2003) held in Kyoto, Japan on 17th of
      November, 2003. UCS 2003 is the first symposium organized by SIG-UBI, a
newly
      established group in IPSJ to promote technologies related to ubiquitous
      computing systems. UCS 2003 features keynote and invited talks and a panel
      discussion. The aim of the symposium is to stimulate interactions between
      participants through them.


      UCS 2003 focuses on the emerging area of ubiquitous computing. This
      emergence is an outcome of the rapid evolution in smart appliances and
      devices, as well as tremendous advances in wireless networks and mobile
      computing. The symposium offers the opportunity for in-depth exploration
      of the most recent research and development findings in the field of
      ubiquitous computing.

      We also invite UCS-2003 participants to attend the second meeting of
SIG-UBI
      held on 18th and 19th of November, 2003. For further details, please visit
