Previous APWeb conferences were held in Beijing (1998), Hong Kong (1999), Xian (2000), Changsha (2001), Xian (2003), Hangzhou (2004), Shanghai (2005), Harbin (2006) and Huangshan (2007). All submissions should be in English. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one author will attend the conference to present the work. Authors are required to submit a paper title and short abstract (about 100 words) before submitting the paper. Paper submission will be electronic through the APWeb08 Web site. Papers should be submitted in LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) format (style files are available at LNCS Authors Instructions) as PostScript or PDF files and may not exceed 12 pages. PUBLICATION The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS series, one volume for main conference and one volume for workshops (pending for approval). In addition to technical contributions, APWeb08 invites proposals for workshops, panels, tutorials, industry presentations. For workshops, APWeb'08 will provide administrative support for workshop room booking, registration, and publication. All papers accepted by APWeb'08 workshops will be published in a combined volume of Lecturer Notes in Computer Science series published by Springer (pending for approval). The city is located on the river basin of the Liaohe and Hunhe Rivers, with a number of historical attractions. Shenyang is considered the "hub" of Northeast China. All road and rail connections pass through Shenyang and it serves as the communication, commerce, science and culture center of Northeast China. It is 500 km away from Beijing, about 1 hour by air or 4 hours by D-train.
