原 隆浩 --------------------------------------------------------------- CALL FOR PAPERS International Workshop on Sensor Networks Technologies for Information Explosion Era (SeNTIE2008) April 27, 2008 (Beijing China) in conjunction with International Conference on Mobile Data Management (MDM2008) URL: http://www-nishio.ist.osaka-u.ac.jp/sentie2008/ --------------------------------------------------------------- In recent few years, various types of sensor networks have been deployed at many places and information generated by sensors has increased rapidly. Thus, we are in a time which we could call the "information-explosion era." In the information-explosion era, establishing new techniques for both data processing and communication in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a crucial and challenging issue. This workshop (SeNTIE'08) aims to provide a platform for discussing open issues, current challenges and solutions, as well as directions for future research on data processing and communication techniques of WSNs in the information-explosion era. The workshop intends to bring together researches and practitioners in a broad range of topics related to WSNs in both theoretical and practical experience aspects. --------------------------------------------------------------- TOPICS: - Data processing in WSNs - Data aggregation in WSNs - Query processing and routing in WSNs - Routing protocol in WSNs - Mobile sensor networks - Cross layer approach in WSNs - Efficient deployment of large-scale WSNs - Handling inaccuracy, unreliability and data loss - Energy and time efficient data delivery - Applications of data intensive sensor networks - Application-driven sensor data interrogation - Managing intensive data streams over sensor networks - Semantic descriptions of sensors and sensor data - Sharing, annotation, and (distributed) management of sensor data - Data mining and warehousing in WSNs --------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT DATES: - Abstract submission: January 31(Thu), 2008 - Paper submission: February 6(Wed), 2008 - Notification of acceptance: March 21(Fri), 2008 - Camera-ready due: April 5(Fri), 2008 --------------------------------------------------------------- SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Submitted papers must be original and not submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors are invited to submit their papers via the SeNTIE2008 web site (http://www-nishio.ist.osaka-u.ac.jp/sentie2008/) by Feb. 6, 2008. An electronic, PDF based submission of papers is mandatory. The paper length should not exceed 8 pages in the camera-ready IEEE style. Proceedings will be printed in hardcopy with IEEE Press and will be included in IEEE Explore. The registration fee will be one flat fee that includes all the main conference + workshops + seminars (No extra charge for attending workshops). --------------------------------------------------------------- ORGANIZERS: -Workshop Chairs: Takahiro Hara (Osaka University, Japan) Vladimir I. Zadorozhny (University of Pittsburgh, USA) Manfred Hauswirth (DERI Galway, Ireland) -Program Committee Members: Karl Aberer (EPFL, Switzerland) Klemens Boehm (Universitat Karlsruhe (TH), Germany) Bharat K Bhargava (Purdue University, USA) Erik Buchmann (Universitat Karlsruhe (TH), Germany) Sergio Ilarri (University of Zaragoza, Spain) Antonis Deligiannakis (University of Athens, Greece) Alex Delis (University of Athens, Greece) Alvaro Fernandes (University of Manchester, UK) Dimitrios Gunopulos (UC Riverside, USA) Himanshu Gupta (Stony Brook University, USA) Susumu Ishihara (Shizuoka University, Japan) Yoshiharu Ishikawa (Nagoya University, Japan) Akimitsu Kanzaki (Osaka University, Japan) Nobuo Kawaguchi (Nagoya University, Japan) Hideyuki Kawashima (Keio University, Japan) Masaru Kitsuregawa (University of Tokyo, Japan) Yannis Kotidis (Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece) Prashant Krishnamurthy (University of Pittsburgh, USA) Vijay Kumar (University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA) Alex Labrinidis (University of Pittsburgh, USA) Jerry Lynch (University of Michigan, USA) Pedro Jose Marron (University of Bonn, Germany) Masateru Minami (Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan) Mario A.
